news-details

DEME Offshore has successfully completed yet another offshore wind farm project with DP2 installation vessel ‘Innovation’, as the last monopile was installed at the Hollandse Kust Noord offshore wind farm.

DEME Offshore has been contracted by Van Oord for the installation of 70 monopiles.

In October 2022, DEME’s DP3 floating offshore installation vessel ‘Orion’ carried out the installation of the TenneT Offshore substation topside for the same wind farm.

Hollandse Kust Noord will have an installed capacity of 759 MW and will supply enough renewable energy to meet 2.8% of the Netherlands’ electricity demand. The wind farm is being developed by CrossWindHKN, a joint venture between Shell and Eneco.

‘Innovation’ will now be mobilised for Vattenfall’s Vesterhav offshore wind farm in the Danish North Sea, where DEME Offshore will install 41 monopile foundations.
